Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Aaron moved to Southern California in his early teens. Growing up down the street from Showcase Theatre in Corona, a landmark to local hardcore and punk music, Aaron was soon influenced by the D.I.Y. mentality of the scene. Receiving his first tattoo from Colin Dowling at the age of 18, Aaron was instantly committed to getting tattooed and learning about the tradition. After moving to Costa Mesa with his good friend and original Gold Rush apprentice, TIm McAlary, Aaron landed a job as shop helper and found a love for tattooing. Using the knowledge he gained as shop helper, he was able to progress seamlessly into the role of apprentice. Over the years, Aaron has had the support and guidance of many great artists, who have helped turn him into the tattooer he is today. While his main focus is american traditional he loves the challenge of other styles of artwork, nothing being too big or too small. Aaron can be found at the shop every day except Tuesday and Sunday.
