Pursuing an artistic passion, Colin Dowling began his Tattoo career in 1998 in Newport Beach, CA.
Over the years working continuously throughout Southern California, Gold Rush Tattoo was built and formed as a home base in 2006 with the intent of creating custom and diverse Tattoos built around dedicated Artists. His foundation and strengths in Tattooing rely upon American Traditional roots, a Black and Grey style born and perfected here in Southern California and a large Japanese imagery influence citing the background, contrast and longevity that embraces the body most notably in larger scale work. Whether large or small, each Tattoo is handcrafted with knowledge and integrity. Never satisfied, Colin seeks truth in both influence and design. He attributes inspiration from prior tattoo masters, traveling and life experience.
